Clean the door area with an alcohol-based cleaner

Warm the adhesive tape with a heat gun or hair dryer

Remove the backing and align each shield

Press firmly until securely adhered.

Important: Incorrect installation may reduce adhesive performance.

Which 70 Series vehicles use the four-piece set?

The four-piece set is for four-door 70 Series models, principally the 76 Wagon and 79 Dual Cab. A single cab or Troop Carrier needs the separate two-piece set.

Can the adhesive be refreshed if a weather shield needs to be refitted?

Yes. Remove the old adhesive, clean both surfaces thoroughly, and apply fresh automotive-grade acrylic foam tape of the correct width. Replacement adhesive may also be available from OCAM.

Can I leave the windows slightly open in rain?

Yes. The shields are designed to deflect light rain and airflow when the windows are cracked open. They will not keep water out with the windows lowered substantially or during severe crosswind rain.

Will they reduce wind noise?

They can reduce buffeting when a window is slightly open. Overall cabin wind noise also depends on door seals, window adjustment, roof racks and other accessories, so the result varies by vehicle.

Can I use a car wash after installation?

Yes, after the adhesive has fully cured. Wait at least 24 hours, or 48 hours in cold/damp conditions, before using a pressure wash or automatic car wash.
