FM642DPK is the later 1VD-FTV V8 kit used for the listed 2018–2024 VDJ76/78/79 application. It is not the kit for the 2024-on 2.8-litre four-cylinder 70 Series.

Where does the pre-filter sit in the fuel system?

It is installed between the fuel tank and the factory fuel filter. The Fuel Manager removes the bulk of water and larger contamination first, while the original filter remains in place for final filtration.

Can I install the FM642DPK with a second battery or other engine-bay accessories?

Yes, provided the kit’s dedicated mounting area remains clear. The FM642DPK uses a specific bracket arrangement designed for its listed vehicle application.

Before installation, confirm that a battery tray, compressor, catch can or other accessory has not already occupied that position. This kit is not compatible with a three-battery engine-bay setup.
