Does this kit fit the 2024-on facelift 70 Series?

No. This kit is designed for pre-facelift 75, 76, 78 and 79 Series LandCruisers up to 2023.

The bonnet and mounting geometry changed on the 2024-on facelift models, so the struts do not align or extend correctly using the standard installation method.

Some owners may report adapting the kit to facelift vehicles, but this involves modifying the installation and relocating the passenger-side fuse box in the engine bay. This is not covered by the supplied instructions, has not been approved or tested by us, and is therefore not a fitment we can recommend or support.

Will the passenger-side strut clear a dual-battery system?

It depends on where the second battery and its tray sit. The passenger-side strut can foul some dual-battery installations. Relocation of the battery may be required.

Do I need to drill the bonnet or guards?

No. The kit uses existing bonnet-hinge and inner-guard mounting points and includes the required ball studs and hardware.

How do I avoid changing the bonnet alignment during installation?

Mark the original hinge position before loosening any hinge bolt, support the bonnet securely and fit one side at a time. Return the hinge to the marked position before tightening, then check the bonnet gaps and latch operation before attaching both struts.

Are the struts strong enough for the heavier 2016-on bonnet?

Yes. The kit uses heavy-duty struts selected to support the heavier bonnet fitted to later pre-facelift models.
